A beautiful Canva wedding website still needs a clear RSVP plan.
Before you send the invitation, decide where the replies will live and what each guest is allowed to submit. The right setup depends on whether your priority is design freedom, guest-list rules or a themed invitation that you can build in one place.
Keep your Canva design if it already works for you
You do not need to rebuild an invitation just because it started in Canva. A separate RSVP link can be enough for a simple celebration. If your template includes a form, check that its responses go to an account you control. A seller’s sample form is not your guest list.
Some Canva wedding-template sellers supply a Canva form or a separate Google Form. The handoff and response management depend on the template. Read the actual product instructions rather than assuming every “RSVP included” label means the same thing. This seller’s instructions illustrate both approaches.
Choose the setup around your guest list
| Approach | Good fit | Check first |
|---|---|---|
| Canva design + form | You love your design and can manage the response setup. | Who owns the form, mobile submission and allowed guest counts. |
| Free wedding planning platform | A connected registry and guest-management workflow matter most. | Your particular household, event and privacy requirements. |
| InviteVault themed invitation | You want an atmospheric design, music, wedding details and styled RSVP. | The chosen theme’s fields and guest behavior in the preview. |
Joy lists a free core wedding website and RSVP offer, and Zola offers free wedding websites connected to guest lists and registries. They are sensible choices when those planning features are your priority. InviteVault’s reason to choose it is the invitation experience and style.
Test the journey a guest will actually take
- Open the published test link in a private browser window on a phone. Check that guests can read the invitation without your editor login.
- Try a yes reply and a no reply in your own test form. Confirm both reach the correct response list.
- Check a household with two invited people. If your system accepts any number, decide whether that is acceptable before sending.
- Test any meal, dietary or travel questions you need. Check the final response record, not just the confirmation screen.
- Ask one trusted person to find the time, venue and RSVP deadline without help. Shorten anything that makes them hesitate.
Write the message around one destination
A clear invitation message can be simple:
We’re getting married! You’re invited to celebrate with [names] on [date]. Open our invitation for the venue, schedule and RSVP: [your invitation link]. Please reply by [deadline].
Replace every bracketed field before sending. If your form is separate from your wedding website, label the RSVP button clearly and keep the deadline consistent in both places.
When to try InviteVault
Try InviteVault if your wedding has a gothic, celestial, vinyl, rock or jazz atmosphere and you want to experience the design before paying. Public demos show the opening and themed pages; an account lets you build your own preview. Publishing one invitation is currently $19 one time under the Founding Couple Offer. Hosted through the wedding date and for 12 months afterward.
InviteVault does not import your Canva website. Rebuilding the invitation here is a separate choice. If you need strict household limits, multi-event permissions or a connected gift registry, confirm the exact requirement with support before buying.
